Scholarships

The Iowa United Methodist Foundation offers thousands of dollars in scholarships every year to students who demonstrate academic and community excellence and have maintained a faithful membership with the United Methodist Church. We offer:

There are also scholarship opportunities available through the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry and United Methodist Foundation Higher Education that the Foundation participates in. Check out those pages for additional details.

The 2018-19 scholarship applications are now CLOSED*

The Foundation has moved to a new, easy-to-use, online-only scholarship application process. All applications and required documents, such as essays, references, and transcripts, are now paperless! The 2019-2020 Scholarship Applications will be open December 1, 2018 so be on the lookout for that in December!

*REMINDER: If you received a scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year, verification of enrollment from the college you are attending needs to be mailed to the Foundation office BEFORE scholarship dollars can be paid to your college. We start accepting verification once the semester has officially started.

Verification of enrollment can be mailed to Iowa United Methodist Foundation, 2301 Rittenhouse St., Des Moines, IA 50321. If the Foundation does not receive verification of enrollment, we can not send the money. Thank you!
