Credit Education Month | Iowa United Methodist Foundation
March 20, 2024
March is National Credit Education Month in the United States. This is an opportunity to learn about the importance of building a positive credit profile and understanding your credit score. The Foundation is participating in Credit Education Month by compiling resources that provide information on how to build a strong credit profile:
Credit Education Guide (National Financial Educators Council) – This guide focuses on credit: how credit affects your personal financial situation and how to get and maintain good credit.
Saving Grace: A Guide to Financial Well-Being (Cokesbury/Iowa United Methodist Foundation) – This is a 6-10 session program based on Wesleyan values that provides participants the tools needed to address the topics of saving, earning and giving. The link will take you to IUMF’s pre-recorded sessions (password is finances24). If you complete all ten videos and are a clergy member, please email [email protected] to let us know you did so we can make sure you receive 1 CEU.
Celebrating National Credit Education Month (Southern Bancorp’s Financial Fitness Blog) – Financial Coach Charlestien Harris gives step-by-step directions on how to obtain, read and dispute errors on your credit report. After following her guidelines, you will celebrate (not fear) Credit Education Month!
