Personal Finance - Workshop | Iowa United Methodist Foundation

Personal Finances

The Foundation can present a personal finance seminar on any topic you feel would be helpful to your members, including:

  • Basic budgeting skills
  • Debt
  • Credit cards
  • Faithful stewardship of resources

Saving Grace

We also offer the new Abingdon Press/Wespath curriculum Saving Grace: A Guide to Financial Well-Being. This course covers the topics mentioned above and clergy can earn 1 CEU if they take the full course! We will offer live sessions again in the fall of 2021, but if you are interested in taking this course sooner, email us at info@iumf.org and we can send you the links to the lecture videos. We highly encourage clergy to take this course and decide if it is something they want to then offer to their congregation.

National Endowment of Financial Education

Another helpful resource for those seeking personal financial well-being is NEFE, a non-profit organization at the forefront of financial literacy. We encourage you to check our their website to learn more.
