Welcome to iumf.org, the official online ministry of The Iowa United Methodist Foundation. This site is designed to provide information to anyone interested or involved in supporting the mission and ministry of the United Methodist Church of Iowa. When using iumf.org you agree to the terms and conditions listed on this page (the “Terms of Service Agreement’), which may be updated by the Foundation from time to time.
The web site may provide, or third parties may provide, links to other World Wide Websites or resources. Because iumf.org has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that the Iowa United Methodist Foundation is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. You further acknowledge and agree that the Iowa United Methodist Foundation shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or service available on or through any such site or resources.
You may not (1) modify iumf.org, (2) publish, display, disclose, rent, lease, modify, loan, distribute, create derivative works based on this website or its documentation of any part thereof without the express written permission of the Iowa United Methodist Foundation, (3) remove, obliterate, or cancel from view any copyright, trademark, confidentiality or other proprietary notice, mark or legend appearing on iumf.org, (4) reverse engineer, decompile, translate, adapt or dissemble iumf.org, nor shall you attempt to create the source code from the object code iumf.org without the express written permission of the Iowa United Methodist Foundation, or (5) assign the license for the Service.
By accessing and using the website, you consent to the collection and use of certain information by the Iowa United Methodist Foundation on aggregate and/or individual bases. The Iowa United Methodist Foundation does not share such information with third parties; however, the Iowa United Methodist Foundation may use this information to contact you or provide other services to you.
The information collected may include: (1) non-personally identifiable information (that is information that can be traced to a single, personally identifiable individual) to evaluate how well our web pages are reaching and serving the needs of visitors, (2) home server domain name(s) and type of web browser of visitors to the website, (3) email addresses of visitors that communicate with iumf.org via email or other electronic means, (4) information knowingly provided by users in online forms or otherwise, registration forms (i.e. examples may include but not limited to online registrations for events, online donations, newsletter subscribers)

The website assumes no liability for acts of third parties that are linked to this website. Reasonable efforts are made to safeguard the confidentiality of information transmissions made by means of the internet; however, the internet cannot be made absolutely secure. The Iowa United Methodist Foundation assumes no liability for disclosure or access to information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized access, or other acts of third parties.
Email communications to your email address may be ended at anytime by sending an email to [email protected] indicating your desire to not receive any further email communications from iumf.org.
Any information collected by iumf.org is the property of iumf.org, subject to and protected by the federal and state law. Any information stored or otherwise transmitted to the website will be treated as confidential and proprietary information and will not be disclosed to any third party without your express written consent. However, under certain circumstances we may be required to or we may choose to provide information about you to third parties with or without your consent, as permitted by law, including, to respond to a subpoena or court order, judicial process or regularity authorities, and to protect against fraud. In addition, we may provide information about you to our service providers to help us process your registrations or provide other services.
Use of Your Information
The Iowa United Methodist Foundation may collect two types of information about visitors to the website. The personal information may be but not limited to name, address, telephone number, email address, which you have voluntarily submitted to us and aggregate information such as how many visitors log on to our sights, the pages they access, etc.
You can visit our website without telling who you are or revealing personal information about yourself, in which case you may be unable to participate in promotions or registrations. We collect, maintain and use personal information you have voluntarily submitted to contact you, including via emails, to response to your comments or requests for information.
The Iowa United Methodist Foundation will not trade or share your personal information for use by any business, without your consent, unless required by law or as disclosed to you when the information is collected.
Except as otherwise expressly permitted under copyright law, you agree not to reproduce, retransmit, disseminate, sell, distribute, publish, broadcast or circulate the information received through iumf.org to anyone, including but not limited to, others in the same company or organization without the express prior written consent of the Iowa United Methodist Foundation.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Iowa United Methodist Foundation, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants and agents from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including but not limited to, attorney fees) arising from your use of our services, your violations of the Terms of Service Agreement or your infringement, or infringement by any other user of your account, or any intellectual property or other right any person entity. The Terms of Service will inure to the benefits of the Iowa United Methodist Foundation successors, assigns and licensees.
The Terms of Service Agreement will be governed by and constructed in accordance with laws of the State of Iowa. Any actions brought to enforce this agreement or matters related to the site shall be brought in either the state or federal courts of Iowa. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Service Agreement to be unenforceable, the remainder to the Terms of Service Agreement will continue in full force and effect.
